Kitchen Renovation Process
This is the process most kitchen renovation and custom joinery projects follow from start to finish. We try to keep everything as simple and organised as possible.
This is the process most kitchen renovation and custom joinery projects follow from start to finish. We try to keep everything as simple and organised as possible.
We will visit your home to conduct and initial check measure. Here we will discuss some basic concepts and layouts for your kitchen renovation or custom joinery project and go through some options for finishes and materials.
Alternatively if you have architectural and/or designer drawings/schedules you may forward them to us via email and we can base your quote off that information. If it is a small job, such as a basic home office with storage and a desk, then even just a simple hand drawn sketch with some rough dimensions is enough for us to use for a quote.
Once we have enough information and a rough idea for the style of kitchen or joinery you’re after as well as a preliminary selection of the materials that are to be used, we will put together a quote and send it to you.
If you have any queries about the quote or would like to amend some parts of the project to better work within your budget, feel free to send us an email, call or visit our showroom.
Once you’ve accepted our quote we will begin to prepare working drawings for your project. If there are any alterations to the project or if the quote was based of plans and measurements provided to us by you or a third party, we will need to come out and do our own/another check measure.
We are also able to provide you with renders for your project to help finalise materials and finishes for the job. You can opt-in for this with your showroom consultation to see different finishes applied to your kitchen model via an interactive real time rendering program.
During the final stages of preparing your CAD drawings, a showroom consultation may be required to finalise all aspects of the project. We will go through your plans and if requested have your kitchen modeled up in our real-time rendering program so we can show you a range of different finishes applied to your kitchen or custom joinery.
We’d also discuss items such as appliances and fittings that are all relevant to your project. Our colour room is stocked with samples for cabinetry and stone finishes and have a range of hardware fittings to view in store.
Upon finalising your CAD drawings and finishes we will put your job through to manufacturing and order all the required materials. Whilst we are preparing your joinery items, we will contact you to book in delivery and installation dates.
Please let us know about any other works and/or trades that are working on your site so we can try to accommodate that with our delivery and installation schedule. If we are organising other trades to complete works on your project, we will liaison with you and book them in as required.
Stone works are usually completed within 1-2 weeks from the completion of your joinery installation. If we are organising any stone works for your project, we will schedule check measures and installations with our stone mason.
Over the years we have developed professional relationships with a range of other trades. Plumbing, electrical and tiling are just some of the services we are able to source for your project.
The final stage of our kitchen process. Upon the completion of your joinery works and if organised by us; your stone works, we will come out to do a final inspection to ensure your project has been finished to our high standards and to complete any joinery maintenance should it be required.
